Schedule
School hours 8:50-3:15
Daily specials will be indicated on the weekly newsletter.
Remember that students must wear sneakers on PE days.
Students may be dropped off at the car rider lane after 8:20.
Check Outs and Transportation
If you would like to change your child’s
afternoon transportation,
please send a dated written note to school
and instruct your child to give it to me upon arrival.
The note needs to include addresses
and phone numbers of where the child is going to.
Children should not be checked out after 3:00 p.m.
Grading Scale
The Gwinnett County Public Schools Grading Scale:
90-100….A 80-89….B
74-79….C 70-73….D 0-69….U
If your child receives a grade of "D" or "U"
on any assignment,
the paper must be signed
and returned on Monday.
They may redo/correct the assignment at school,
which will help your child with their
understanding of the skill.

Newsletters will be updated on this site on Friday.

Snacks and Bathroom
We will have snack opportunity daily.
Please do not send candy bars or snacks
that require spoons or forks.
Students may bring water bottles
to keep in their book bags
and get out during snack time.
We will visit the bathroom
and water fountain several times a day.
Behavior Folders
Behavior folders will be sent home
daily. Please initial that you have
seen your child's report and that it
is returned the next school day.
Homework
The homework folders will be sent home on Monday
and should be returned on Friday.
Students should keep folders in their backpack,
in case there are notes to come home during the week.
Homework will be reviewed for completion and accuracy.
Approximately 20 minutes of homework
will be given each school night.
Take Home Folders
Every Friday your child will bring home
his/her Friday Folder which will contain
graded work, their behavior report,
and other important information.
Please review your child’s work.
This folder is a good tool of communication
between home and school.
Lunch
When music is playing in the cafeteria, there is to be no talking.
After the music is tuned off, students may talk quietly to friends around them.
Students may purchase ice cream
at this time for $1.00.
You are welcome to come
eat with your child.
We ask that you meet us at the café.
Birthdays
You may send in cup cakes for the class
to enjoy during lunch, if you choose to do so.
If you choose to come to lunch
and bring cupcakes,
Please do not send in anything that
has to be divided, such as whole cakes,
or giant cookies. Birthday party invitations
may not be given out at school
unless all the boys of our class,
all the girls of our class,
or the entire class is invited.
